Our goalie enjoyed your clinic. And I as a parent paying for the clinic was very pleased with how you run it and work with the goalies. This was our first private/group training. Our schedule has cleared up and we are signed up for the next 3 trainings. Looking forward to it.
Coach Chris has worked with our son Austen ('08) since he was in 8U. Chris has helped him understand position, form and technique to grow into a competitive Travel Hockey goalie. But more than that, Chris is dedicated to developing a lasting partnership with his students and their families - helping with everything from on-ice development and dryland angle lessons to the mental aspect of the game and fitting equipment. We are beyond grateful for his support through the years and highly recommend him!
My son is a AAA goaltender and he has been working with Snowman all season long. Snowman’s attention to detail, personal level of instruction, and his ability to adjust lessons based on what the student needs are fantastic. My son has had a noticeable increase in performance all season and there is no doubt it is a reflection on the instruction received from Snowman Goaltending.
As a hockey parent with a child coming into hockey late, I had been to a couple different coaches. Chris is without a doubt the best coach my son has had. Chris took the time to go over the finer details and make sure the basic foundations were incredibly strong. My son could not stop talking about the lesson the rest of the day and kept asking when we could go back again. We were introduced to Snowman Goaltending through another hockey parent when we bought some gear, and we are incredibly grateful for that recommendation. Our 10-year-old son had only one summer season of house hockey and was begging to be goalie.
Snowman has been absolutely amazing with him over the past 6 months. He has a wonderful ability to encourage and challenge him just the right amount. Since working with Snowman, we’ve seen huge improvements in our son’s skills, confidence, and overall ability - most importantly he’s having fun and playing well. Even his coaches and other team parents notice his progress.
He currently plays house hockey and lessons have been a worthwhile investment. Chris is always responsive and helpful with questions and communicates with me after each lesson so I’m up to date on where my son is at. Highly recommend!
I started to play goalie recently (maybe with about 15 adult hockey session under my belt) and decided to get a lesson from Chris. This was the best decision I have made to gain knowledge about proper basic techniques. Chris explains everything really well and I learned so much in a single session. Even if I still have tons of work to do, just having the knowledge to realize what you did wrong right as you are doing it will make you improve so much quicker. Will be taking many more lessons from him tonpush my game a lot further!
My son attended one of Snowman’s clinics and I was absolutely blown away. He’s new to goaltending and this was his first one of these, and you could see his growth from the start of the day to the end. The way they ran the clinic too was impressive. They kept it fun for the kids but it was run so tightly in regard to time; they had a set time where they explained to the kids how each station worked, then they went and worked at each station. All the kids got equal time at each, so many reps. What I didn’t expect and was pleasantly surprised by; Snowman frequented each station, and every kid got what I considered a lot of one on one feedback. My kids rink has a weekly goalie day which usually has less kids than this one clinic and my kid has barely been taught anything; he just gets reps at those. Here he got Got instruction and learned things! I know that sounds so basic but to date, he hasn’t really Gotten that. It was worth every penny and we’ll be back in the future!

Lead instructor Chris Snowden-Santi has been coaching goaltenders of all ages for over 15 years, refining and adapting his instruction technique to keep up with the evolution of today's ice hockey goaltender. Taking in bits and pieces from various schools of thought, and using them to help individuals work towards their desired potentials.
By incorporating variations into USA Hockey's American Development Model, Chris seeks to elevate the level at which goaltending is recognized as part of the game. Consistent goalie instruction is critical to the development of the athlete in the position.
Based in Phoenix, AZ, Snowman Goaltending offers weekly private and group lessons, practice visits, camps and clinics throughout the year.
